Hi beautiful! Hope you are having a rocking time. Today I’m going to review Bella Vita Organic Growth Protein shampoo. This is a relatively new~ish personal care brand (at least for me!). And I’m excited to share my experience with this brand.

Bella Vita Organic Growth Protein Shampoo Details
Here are the product details.
Claims
This shampoo claims to boost hair growth, control hair fall, increase volume, shine, and hair strength. It also claims to reduce frizz and keep the scalp dandruff free.
Tall claims, let’s see whether it meets them or not.
Packaging

Bella Vita Organic growth protein shampoo comes in a transparent bottle with a flip-top. The top is tight and prevents any leakage or spills.
The bottle contains a label with all the product details printed on it. A word cloud with the ingredients and qualities of the shampoo is printed on the front. While other details are printed on the back.
The packaging is basic but efficient. It is leak-proof and travel-friendly. The bottle is small enough to easily carry in a bag. But it is a bit heavy so you better carry a smaller quantity in a travel bottle.
Ingredients

The ingredient list is printed on the bottle.
In general, ingredients coming early in the list are higher in concentration in the final product. Unlike regular shampoos, this shampoo has water, coffee beans, and almond oil ester as the first three ingredients.
In fact, surfactants are among the last ingredients on the list – Lauryl Glucoside, coco glucoside.
The shampoo is really gentle and free of sulfate, silicones, alcohols, paraben, and CAPB.
And this shampoo does not use coffee extract, it uses real coffee beans. You can see coffee beans at the bottom of the bottle.
Really impressive ingredients list.
How to Use Bella Vita Organic growth shampoo
As such usage instructions are not printed on the bottle. I used it after diluting as well as without diluting.
Since the shampoo is pretty gentle as it is, after diluting it became gentler. While this was good for hair, the cleaning power of shampoo was also considerably reduced after diluting it.
So, I just wet my scalp and hair, mix the shampoo with little water on my palm, and massage it on my scalp. I then add more water to the scalp to dilute it further.
After adding water, it spreads easily on the scalp and cleans properly.
Since this is a gentle shampoo, you may need more than the normal quantity to wash hair properly. It also depends on how dirty your hair is, so keep reading to find out.
Price and availability
This is available at all the major online stores like Amazon, and Bella Vita Organic site. The cost of a 225 ml bottle is Rs. 249.
Texture and fragrance
It has a brown color and honey-like consistency. This has a smooth texture and medium runny consistency. Actually, it resembles honey a lot.
On its own, it is a little difficult to spread this shampoo on the scalp. But when mixed with water, it spreads easily on the scalp.
Describing the fragrance is a bit tricky. It starts off as a cough syrup but blooms into coffee and vanilla. The smell is subtle and takes its time in growing.
Don’t get put off by the initial whiff, by the time you finish your shower, the smell won’t bother you.
My review of Bella Vita Organic Growth Protein Shampoo
I have used this shampoo for more than a month now, in a variety of ways, to give you detailed feedback.
Let me tell you a little bit about my hair type and wash routine (it’s important, I promise!)
I have thin hair with normal scalp and dry ends. I only wash my hair once with shampoo and air-dry, without blow-drier or any other heat.
My hair ends tend to get drier after the wash day. So, even if I have a little bit of oily hair on the wash day, I don’t wash it again. By the next day or evening, my hair generally dries out and becomes normal.
Wash Routine
Now coming to how I used this shampoo.
Oiled Hair
The first time I used it, I had oiled my hair. I oiled my hair the previous night and the next morning washed it with Bella Vita Organic growth shampoo. I then followed it up with the Bella Vita Organic volume protein hair mask.
It took my hair longer than usual to dry. Even after drying, my hair looked, and felt, slightly oily as if it wasn’t properly clean.
Thankfully this only lasted till the next day. By the next evening, my hair was softer and much more manageable.
Next, I washed oiled hair with this shampoo. I did not use any conditioner, hair mask, or leave-in. And I am very happy with the result. My hair was soft, clean, and with minimal tangles. Plus I got the benefit of hot oil massage as well. I think I have finally found the winning combo to use this!
Non-Oiled Hair
Since oil + shampoo + mask was making my hair oily, I decided to use this on non-oiled hair.
I tried only shampoo + hair mask on non-oiled hair. The result was slightly better, if not still squeaky clean hair. My hair was only slightly oily and it balanced out by the next morning.
But I still had one more test to do!
The brave move: use only the shampoo. No oil, no conditioner, no leave-in. Talk about being scared. Surprisingly my hair was not the nest I had expected it to be. My hair was clean, soft, and not at all oily or dry on the shower day itself. This shows the shampoo is really gentle and can work great on its own.
Now coming to the claims. After using this shampoo for more than a month, I have not yet observed much difference in hair fall or my hair health. It does make hair softer, but I didn’t see any difference in other hair problems.
Suitable for
The company claims this is suitable for all hair types, including colored hair. And I will agree. This shampoo is gentle enough that it can be used on its own. I have not colored my hair recently, so I can’t comment on whether it will suit colored hair or not.
Benefits
- Ingredients list – keratin, coffee, argan oil, castor oil. It contains great ingredients for hair
- Price – a gentle, affordable shampoo
- CG friendly – sulfate, silicone, paraben-free
- does not dry hair
- can be used without conditioner as well
- Subtle coffee smell
Cons
- Initial strong smell may bother some people
- did not reduce hair fall or make hair stronger
- you need more than usual quantity due to the absence of harsh surfactants
- makes hair oily when used with thair oil or conditioner
- more quantity is required to clean oiled hair
Recommendation
Give this shampoo a try if you have dry hair, or you don’t like to oil your hair. This gentle shampoo will clean your hair without stripping natural oils.
If you have oily hair then give this a skip. This shampoo works best if used on its own, or without heavy hair masque. If you like to use hair masques or heavily oil your hair, then this shampoo may make your hair oily.
Repurchase
I will repurchase some other variant of this shampoo.
Rating
3/5 spoons of happiness.

Hi, you can try Mamaearth Onion Shampoo and conditioner. Though not completely organic, it gave me good results. The results may vary depending on your hair type.
