The oil has a light ocnsistency, and is easy to spread.
My experience with Origenz Kalonji Oil
I have been using this oil for more than a month now. I have used this on its own, mixed with the castor oil from the same range, and mixed with other hair oils as well.
It has performed well in all three scenarios. When used with the
The oil has a light consistency, making it super easy to apply. It washes off in one hair wash. After air-drying, my hair was softer and a little bit more manageable. If you have normal hair, then you can skip the conditioner after shampoo.
Regarding strong hair claims, till now, I have not seen any improvement. This oil has neither increased nor decreased hair fall. I will continue using it and update after a couple of months.
Pros
- Makes hair soft
- Easy to apply
- Light consistency – does not make hair sticky
- The faint smell won’t bother anyone
Cons
- Did not make any change in hair health or hair fall
- Expensive

Recommendation
This is a good quality kalonji oil. Try it to get softer and manageable hair. Do continue to use for some time to see the results.
Origenz Castor Oil Review

Claims
Castor oil is one of the best natural oils you can use on your hair. The company claims:
- Origenz castor oil is pure and natural. It helps to increase blood circulation to the scalp and skin.
- For hair, it can reduce dandruff, moisturize the scalp, make hair smooth and shiny.
- For skin, it can reduce acne scars, pigmentation, fine lines, and dark circles.
Price
100ml oil bottle costs Rs 223.
Texture
The castor oil has a light yellow color and is thick in consistency. It has no fragrance and won’t bother even the sensitive noses.
My experience with Origenz castor oil
I used this oil for more than a month in a variety of ways. I used it for hair hair, skin, makeup remover, and much more.
Hair
I used it as a pre-poo. Applied it the night-before and washed off with my usual shampoo the next day.
Due to the thisck consistency, I combine it with black seed oil from the same range. It made it easier to apply. It was still difficult to wash off due to the consistency.
Once air-dried, my hair was softer and a little bit more manageable. I’m not sure whether it was due to castor oil or kalonji oil.
I used it as a hair serum as well. On the non-wash day, I took a drop of castor oil and applied it to the ends. It helped to control the frizz and reduced tangles as well.
I did not see any drastic changes in the hair fall or hair health, but then I used it for only a month.
Skin
I used Origenz castor oil to remove eye makeup. I simply dab some oil on my eyelids and gently wipe it with cotton. It cleans eye makeup in one shot.
In the past, castor oil has broken me out, so I didn’t use this for acne. If castor oil suits you, give this oil a try for the face.
Nails
The oil claims to soften cuticles as well. I have only used it twice so far, so too early to comment whether it meets those claims or not.
Pros
- Good quality castor oil
- Makes hair softer
- Reduces frizz and tangles
- Works great to remove eye makeup – apply and swipe -and you are done
- Makes nail and cuticles softer
Cons
- Expensive – even though the quality of the oil is good, it is expensive compared to other options available in the market
- Availability – only available online on Amazon or Flipkart
Recommendation
I will recommend Origenz castor oil for hair and nail use. If you don’t have acne-prone skin, you can use a little bit on the face as well.
Conclusion
All in all, Origenz provides good quality oils. I will definitely try their other products in the future.
