Hey beautiful! I love vanilla and clean skincare. So when I saw this vanilla face cream from Nature’s Co in Smytten, I knew I had to try it. So, after using it for more than 3 weeks, here is my review of The Nature’s Co Vanilla Vitamin-E face cream.
About The Nature’s Co Brand
Inspired by nature around us, The Nature’s Co brand offers products made with ingredients found around us including herbs, essential oils, and extracts. They are PETA approved and offer paraben-free products. The Nature’s Co offers eco-friendly, vegan products made with the best natural ingredients.
They also support recycling where you can send them empty, used bottles and they will recycle it. You get points for every bottle you return which you can use for shopping. Happy earth and wallet!
The packaging of this cream is very basic. It came in a plastic tub with a white cap. I mean, how much more basic can it get.
A label is printed on the tub that contains details like ingredients, directions, and all the other important information. After using it for 3 weeks, the label looks flimsy and ready to come out with little effort.
I will say, packaging could have been better, especially considering the heft price tag and the luxurious feel brand wants to convey.
The label also mentions this piece is specially packed for Smytten sample program. So could be the packaging of pieces dispatched from their site would be different. Still, better packaging should have been done as the sample gives the first impression.
The Nature Co Vanilla face cream Ingredients
Ingredients: Vanilla extract, almond oil, jojoba oil, wheatgerm oil, vitamin-e ,cocoa butter, kokum butter, cream base, aroma, natural preservatives
The list of ingredients is printed on the tub. It contains some really good ingredients for skin, like kokum butter, cocoa butter, vanilla, vitamin e.
One issue I had with the ingredients is it says ‘Cream Base’ but does not give ingredients of that cream base. In my opinion, it would have been better to print the complete list including what goes in that cream base.
More than anything else listing a complete list inspires confidence, transparency, and trust with the brand.
How to apply TNC Vanilla face cream
Usage directions are simple. Wash your face and apply TNC Vanilla face cream in a circular motion. Make sure to cover the face and neck.
It is mentioned that you can use it both day and night. But as this cream does not contain any SPF, don’t forget to follow up with your favorite sunscreen if using it in the day.
So how much does TNC Vanilla Vitamin-E face cream cost? It costs 995 Rs for 50 gm tub. The price is pretty steep for the quantity provided.
I bought this cream from Smytten where you get to try samples from various lucurious brands.
What does TNC Vanilla Vitamin-E Face Cream Claim
This is an anti-aging cream that claims to give a youthful skin. As per the brand it claims to increase blood circulation in the face and restores freshness by reducing dark spots and signs of aging.
Whatever second thoughts were raised by packaging and ingredients list were laid to rest with one sniff of the cream. In short ~ heavenly smell, if you are a fan of chocolate or vanilla.
The combined smell of chocolate and vanilla, its just soul touching.
The smell is pretty strong and stays for some time, so beware if strong fragrances bother you. If you don’t like chocolate or vanilla then it may be a bigger problem.
For me, I love the combo and the smell makes me feel as if I just had chocolate. This cream does the double job of cream and satisfying the chocolate craving. Awesome!!
Swatch and appearance
The cream has chocolaty color and thick texture. It is very easy to scoop out and apply on the face. It spreads easily and you won’t have to rub vigorously to spread it.
Travel-friendly and leak proof
Due to the thick texture of cream there is a very less chance of leakage. You can safely carry it in your handbag.
Also, the small size of TNC Vanilla face cream tub makes it travel friendly. The small tub can be tucked in your bag without making it too heavy.
My review of The Nature’s Co Vanilla Vitamin-E Face Cream
I have used this cream for almost three weeks now and am pretty happy with the experience so far.
I have been using this cream twice a day, morning, and nights. As suggested, I take a coin size amount of cream and apply it on the face. It spreads easily but I feel it takes some time for the cream to sink in after application. Once absorbed the skin feels properly moisturized and hydrated.
I have sensitive combination skin. Meaning my T-zone is oily while the rest of the face is dry. If I apply heavy cream for cheeks, I get breakouts or oily skin around nose-bridge. If I use light one then my cheeks cry for more moisturization. I really struggle to find the right balance.
This face cream thankfully met that balance beautifully. Once absorbed my whole face feels properly moisturized. T-zone is happy and not crying oily skin, cheeks are happy and not screaming dry skin. I am one happy skin person.
I used this cream on its own as well as with Mamaearth skin plump serum. Both the times my skin was nicely moisturized.
Sine the cream takes some time to sink, avoid to use it just before heavy exercise. I used it a couple of times before going out for a morning walk. During the walk, I was sweating profusely. I wasn’t even walking that fast to sweat. I will experiment if this additional sweating helps in shedding weight faster.
Coming to the claims and effectiveness, I would say three weeks is too short a time. My skin is properly nourished and moisturized, but apart from that I have not yet seen any change in dark spots or fine lines.
It did not cause any pimples, or any other break outs, so that is one good thing.
I will continue to use this cream and update once I finish this tub whether there were any anti-aging benefits or not.
The Nature’s Co Vanilla Face cream Benefits
- Nice ingredients list
- Awesome smell of vanilla and chocolate
- Skin feels nicely moisturized for the full face, including T-zone and cheeks
- Does not leave any oily residue
- Does not break out
- Small quantity is required to cover the whole face
- Expensive – 50g costs INR 995. Even though lesser quantity is required, still it’s expensive
- Very basic packaging – now I agree this is a sampling package for Smytten which could be the reason for basic packaging. But still, the packaging does not do justice to the price tag
- The complete list of ingredients is not mentioned. It says cream base but does not mention ingredients of that cream base.
- It may make you sweaty if you do intensive exercise after applying this.
I will recommend this face cream for oily to normal skin types. Acne-prone skinned beauties may also use it as it does not cause any breakouts.
And if you are a chocolate or ice cream lover… try this for its fragrance.
Based on my experience, I would definitely repurchase The Nature Co Vanilla face cream. The only thing which I would consider is the price. I will keep an eye and snag it next time I find it in any sale.
4/5 spoons of happiness.
