Due to my hair type, I avoid heavy hair oils and always look for a light, non-sticky hair oil. So, when I found this hair oil with the goodness of green tea and onion oil, I knew I had to try it.

Texture & Fragrance
For once, a product meets its claims in texture. This is a lightweight, non-sticky oil with pale yellow color. The texture is very light and does not feel heavy at all. It spreads easily and little amount is enough to cover the entire head.
Considering that onion oil is one of the major ingredients, thankfully this oil does not smell at all like onions. Instead, it has a slight refreshing smell. It is difficult to pinpoint what exactly smells like and has that artificial touch to it. But I personally still find it slight and not at all overbearing.
My review of mCaffeine Naked Detox Green Tea Hair Oil
So far, I have enjoyed using this hair oil. One of the major reason being, its lightweight texture. I have fine hair, and any heavy oil makes it too limp and chipku. This hair oil did not give that super oily feeling.
It is so light that I could leave my oiled hair for 2 days. Typically, with any other oil, I need to wash my hair after some time, as I start having a headache. No such problem with this hair oil.
It is super easy to apply and wash this hair oil. I used it with Just Herbs 8 in 1 shampoo and in one wash itself the oil was completely removed.
In order to check the company’s smooth hair claims, I used it with and without conditioner. I found, without conditioner too, hair was fairly manageable. But when coupled with a conditioner, hair was nicely managed with little tangles.
Now coming to other claims, I observed lesser hair fall while applying and washing hair. Generally, I lose some hair while applying any hair oil. And I lose some more while washing that oil off. With mCaffeine green tea hair oil, I observed little to no hair fall while applying. During hair wash also, I observed considerably less hair fall.
As far as controlling hair fall completely is concerned, I yet have to see any major changes. It has been only 3 weeks that I have used this oil. I will come back and update once I complete this bottle.
Since I don’t have dandruff, I can’t say whether it controls dandruff or not. But after hair wash and air drying, my hair feels more manageable and has slight sheen to it.
Who is it suitable for
The company claims this hair oil is suitable for all hair types. I have fine hair and this lightweight hair oil was perfect for it.
This hair oil has a light texture that is suitable for people with fine hair. But what it lacks in texture, makes up in properties. Even though light, this hair oil still provides nourishment for hair.
Pros of mCaffeine green tea hair oil
- Makes hair manageable post wash
- Very lightweight, does not make hair sticky
- Due to its texture, it can be used as a serum too
- Nice list of ingredients
- Nice smell
- Washes off in one hair wash. Does not require buckets of water
- Reduces tangles, so conditioner may be skipped
- Classy packaging
Cons
- Expensive
- The packaging is not suitable for travel. The glass bottle is risky to carry in a bag
Recommendation
I will recommend mCaffeine hair oil for everyone. If you have too dry hair and need extensive moisturization then you can add some heavy oil like olive/castor in this. If you have fine hair, then you can use this oil as is.
