Hi beautiful! I’m always on the lookout for a good, sulfate-free shampoo. In my last shopping spree, I ordered a lot of items from mCaffeine. Today I’m going to review mCaffeine Naked Detox Green Tea Shampoo.

About the brand
As I said in my earlier reviews, mCaffeine is one of the personal care brand that incorporates coffee/caffeine in their products. They offer a lot of products ranging from body polishing to hair care.
I had a good experience with mCaffeine green tea face wash, and green tea hair growth hair oil. Needless to say, I had high hopes with their green tea shampoo and conditioner.
Claims
The shampoo claims to wash hair without drying it out.
- Detox your hair, naturally
- Save your hair from damages from sun, and free radicals
- Remove buildup from your hair
- Transform dull and damaged hair into healthy hair with a natural shine
mCaffeine Naked Detox Green Tea Shampoo Details
Let’s see complete details about this green tea shampoo.
Packaging

This shampoo comes in a tube packaging with an outer carton. All the product details are printed on the carton as well as the tube.
The flip-top of the tube is sturdy and there are very few chances of leakage.
The packaging is easy, but the tube is bulky making it non-travel-friendly.
It is a bit difficult to take out the required amount of shampoo to dilute it. I tend to overpress it and take out more than the required quantity.
Ingredients

The complete list of ingredients is listed on the tube as well as the outer carton. The ingredient list does look impressive.
How to use mCaffeine Naked Detox Green Tea Shampoo

The company recommended usage directions are printed on the tube.
I personally like to dilute it in half a glass of water and then use. I have found, like with other gel shampoo, it spreads, and lathers more when used this way.
Price
200 ml shampoo costs Rs 495, though it is available at a lower cost online. Buy from Amazon.
Texture & Fragrance
mCaffeine Naked Detox shampoo is yellowish in color, with a gel-like consistency. Due to thick consistency, it does not spread easily on hair.
Once diluted. it is easy to spread and lathers nicely.
It has a strong fragrance that stays for sometime after hair wash. Fragrance is refreshing, though not at all like green tea π
My review of mCaffeine Naked Detox Green Tea Shampoo
I have used this shampoo on and off for more than a month now. I used it in a variety of ways, on oiled hair, non-oiled hair, with and without conditioner and serum. I feel, I have tried all the ways to use this shampoo before writing this review.
And in every scenario, it gave me clumpy, non-clean hair. Let me explain in detail.
mCaffeine Green Tea Shampoo Expereince
I have fine hair that I wash once a week (not going out, so comparatively cleaner hair). By the end of the week, my roots become oily and ends dry.
The first time I used this shampoo, I oiled my hair with mCaffeine green tea hair growth oil and left it overnight. I washed my hair next day, and followed the usual routine. I usually only wash once and did the same here. While washing, my hair felt clean and sleek which gave me hopes of nicely cleaned, shiny hair.
It took ages for my hair to completely dry, and even once completely dried, my hair felt oily and heavy. I had to wash my hair again with another shampoo.
Next time, I used it on non-oiled hair. The results after air-drying my hair were comparatively better. Though not squeaky clean, hair still felt clean.
When I used the conditioner from the same range, my hair was completely soaked, and looked dirty. The hair looked more oily than before wash. Again I had to clean my hair with another shampoo just to get light, clean feeling.
For my fine hair, this shampoo worked okay when used all alone without oil, or conditioner.
My husband, who has thick hair, also reported dirty, clumped hair after using this shampoo.
Suitable for
This shampoo claims to be suitable for all hair types. but in my experience, it may be too heavy for people with fine hair. It may suit people with dry hair but oily heads may find it a bit too moisturizing.
Claims
I’m not sure how much of the claims are being met as I had to wash my hair with another shampoo. It did not clean my hair, let alone detox it. Healthy, shiny hair? Nope, sorry, not for me!
