Seer Secrets Probiotic Hair Mask Review

by Neha Leave a Comment

Hi beautiful! How are you doing? I am a big sucker for hair masks, maybe just after hair fall shampoos πŸ™‚ And it is increased when the mask claims to soften rough and dull hair with probiotics. So, here comes the Seer Secrets Probiotic Hair Mask review from my horde.

Seer Secrets Probiot Hair Mask Review - for dull and rough hair

Claims

Seer Secrets Probiotic Mask for rough and dull hair claims to reduce hair fall, strengthen hair roots, and improve the overall health of your hair.

Onion oil helps to restore the lost nutrients and replenish the scalp. It reduces itch, irritation, and cools the scalp. It claims to repair damaged hair and smoothen them.

Seer Secrets Probiotic Hair Mask Details

Before moving on to my experience, let’s see some basic details about this.

Packaging

Seer Secrets hair mask for rough and dull hair comes in a tub packaging with a super tight inner lid. It was very difficult to open the inner lid, and I had to resort to using scissors to lift it. Even in later uses, I had to use something sharp to pull the inner lid. So, not easy to use.

But this makes the packaging safe and leak-proof. Not sure whether this was a one-off instance, or this is a general packaging problem.

The tub is bulky and heavy so it is not easy to carry it in a hand bag.

Ingredients

Seer Secrets Probiotic Hair Mask Review - Ingredients

The complete ingredient list is printed on the tub.

How to use

Usage instructions are printed on the tub.

I use it differently depending on how much time I have. Most of the time I use this as a post shampoo conditioner. I follow up the shampoo with this conditioner and wash it off after a couple of minutes.

Price and availability

The cost of a 200gm tub is Rs 549.

Texture and fragrance

The hair mask is white with semi-thick consistency. You can spread it easily over wet hair.

It has a strong tea tree oil smell. You will be hit with the smell on opening the tub. The smell stays for a couple of hours after drying the hair and then it fades away.

As I like tea tree oil, I find the smell refreshing. But if you have a sensitive nose, do keep this in mind.

My Review of Seer Secrets Probiotic Hair Mask Review

I have been using this hair mask for more than a month now. I have used it in a variety of ways, as a post-hair wash conditioner, deep conditioner, pre-wash conditioner. I have used it with Seer Secret Shampoo, and Mamaearth onion shampoo.

In all the scenarios, my hair felt smooth to touch while washing. After air drying, my hair would go back to its drier state, and using a leave-in conditioner becomes a must.

Apart from the effects, the biggest challenge came from an expected front! The inner lid is very tight and difficult to open with wet hands. Opening it was a biiiig challenge and I had to resort to using a knife to open it.

Now coming to the claims. I did not see any reduction in hair fall, or any smoothness in my hair after using this hair mask. Applying this hair mask caused me more breakage πŸ™

Benefits

  • Tight and leak-proof packaging
  • Enriched with onion, yogurt and curry leaf
  • Little quantity is needed so lasts long
  • Silicone free so can be used for curly girl cleansing method
  • Tea tree smell – this is a plus for me, may be drawback if you have sensitive nose

Cons

  • It did not meet the claim to reduce hair fall
  • Did not make hair smooth or shiny
  • Difficult to open while taking shower
  • Only available online

Recommendation

If you are looking for a silicone-free hair mask, then you can give this one a try. If you are suffering from a specific hair problem that you want to solve, then give this a miss.

Rating

1out of 5 spoons of happiness for ingredients and smell

Repurchase

Definitely not. I will skip this one and look for other hair masks once this is over.
